Main Purpose of Job:

COACH AND DEVELOP TEAMS TO DRIVE CATEGORY GROWTH WITH CUSTOMER OR GROUP OF CUSTOMERS - Lead, develop and inspire category-focused sales team of managers, associates and (in some cases) team leaders assigned to a specific customer or group of customers to accomplish desired business results by serving as a performance and sales coache and strong change leader to drive adoption of the NSO strategic direction. Is a deep expert in the customer's business strategies and helps the team apply and align category strategy to customer's strategy. Drive the NSO OMP, NSO vision and strategic plan while helping to remove obstacles for the team.

Category Strategy: Product / brand category objectives

  • Deliver category growth through effective selling and driving excellence in execution

  • Ensure execution of Category strategies and support Customer category strategies through JBP and a Category First approach.

  • Own final approval of customer promotion plans

Customer Strategy: Forecast accuracy, sales performance targets, meeting sales goals, segmentation / resource alloaction, improving customer service

  • Lead development of key selling strategies for customer or group of customers and effectively lead the team against these strategies

  • Achieve annual sales and trade targets by supporting strong performance from all team members. This will be achieved through effective people coaching and leadership

  • Promote proper coverage of categories in structure and resource allocation

  • Develop and foster collaborative relationships with customer executive leadership

  • Ensure that customer business plans and roadmaps are developed and in line with customer initiatives

Key Experiences:

Experience

  • 10-12 years selling experience (CAM, CCSD and various positions within NSO)

  • 3 years people management experience with proven people coaching and development skills

  • Proven record of success

  • Cross- functional experience a plus (CFSC, Finance; CSD)

  • Knowledge of Core business process (Sales fundamentals, distribution, customer planning, finance, CFSE,

policies)

  • Knowledge of cross functional teams (CFSE, finance, CSD)

  • Knowledge of Nestle planning processes and NiM

  • Knowledge on insights, Roadmaps; Competitive activity; industry insights

Knowledge: Nestlé Corporate / Functional / Market / Business / Organizational

1.) Knowledge of interrelationship of key functions and their key initiatives (Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Technical and Globe & IS/IT)

2.) Demonstrated knowledge of business driving technology solutions (i.e. Nielsen, BW, Source) and internal/external industry insights and trends
