As a Project Manager in our Professional Services organization, you will be managing a portfolio of customer projects delivered by our team of Engineers and by other organizations within our partner community. These projects may include various technologies from Microsoft, Cisco, and other providers of cloud and datacenter solutions.

n

nYour mission as a Project Manager at Softchoice, should you choose to accept, is to …n

n

+ Represent Softchoice as a key player in the delivery of Professional Services projects

n

+ Review SOW's and provide feedback to presales teams

n

+ Ensure quality services are delivered to our customers and perform risk remediation and issue resolution

n

+ Develop and present reports to project teams and customers

n

+ Ensure all appropriate contracts are in place between Softchoice, our customers and outside partners

n

+ Obtain and provide valuable feedback through Lessons Learned sessions to delivery and presales teams


n

nWe're looking for people who:n

n

+ Are comfortable with following Project Management standards as defined by Project Management Institute (PMI)

n

+ Lead project teams through the delivery of IT infrastructure projects for our customers

n

+ Develop & maintain project documentation, which may include: charters, WBS, risk logs, stakeholder registers, schedules, measures of success, project plans, weekly status reports, issue tracking/escalation/resolution, and financial tracking/forecasting

n

+ Organize and facilitate project requirement sessions

n

+ Track and report project budgets internally and to our customers

n

+ Manage and maintain relationships with multiple service and software providers

n

+ Liaise with technology and business organizations to manage the status of multiple projects

n

+ Facilitate team meetings and work sessions

n

+ Communicate regularly in accordance with defined communication plans

n

+ Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to all levels of leadership

n

+ Develop tools and define technical requirements and specifications to improve our PMO practice


n

nAs our ideal candidate you'll also have:n

n

+ 5+ years of related work experience in a professional services or consulting environment

n

+ 3+ years of formal Project Management experience

n

+ Post Secondary education

n

+ PMI PMP Certification

n

+ Experience with the integration and deployment of Microsoft, Cisco, and datacenter implementation. For example, Exchange or O365 deployment projects. Cisco voice, networking, wireless projects. Datacenter transformations, migrations, moves.

n

+ Experience leading cross-functional projects leveraging project methodology as defined by PMI

n

+ Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment

n

+ Strong ability to identify, understand and communicate business needs for technical projects to a non-technical audience

n

+ Strong analytical skills

n

+ Strong influential skills

n

+ Experience leading cross-functional projects in accordance with a formalized project methodology required

n

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

n

+ Ability to escalate issues to senior management

n

+ Ability to identify and manage a Project critical path

n

+ Proficiency with MS Office Suit (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and MS Project

n

+ A strong client focus and relationship management skills

n

+ Strong influencing and leadership skills

n

+ Practical knowledge of services delivery and IT consulting

n

+ Effective presentation and facilitation skills

n

+ Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly

n

+ Strong t me management skills

n

+ Flexibility to travel (Approximately 20%)

n

+ Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet project deadlines
