Within JPM’s Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) group, theCollateral Release team is responsible for releasing all types of collateralliens securing commercial loans, such as liens on commercial property, businessassets, vehicle titles, and holds on deposit accounts. Ensuring the proper level of approval isobtained and creating the applicable release document is an integral part ofthe process performed by the Team.
People Management & Leadership – manage a team, conductweekly staff meetings; facilitate weekly production calls when requested; evaluatestaff’s abilities and development needs, creating customized learning/trainingplans based on individual need; administer HR policies fairly andconsistently
Partnership – Work closely with Center of Excellence(COE) managers, functional managers in other geographic locations toensure consistency in processes and procedures; coordinate and alignefforts globally
Production – monitor and manage work queues andproduction capacity, maintain service levels, meet client satisfactionsurvey targets, achieve headcount and expense targets; continually lookfor opportunities to improve efficiency and create capacity within theteam while maintaining controls
Risk and Controls – ensure staff is consistentlyfollowing procedures, timely completing required compliance-relatedtraining and meeting quality (QIP) standards
Client/Customer Focus – develop relationships withmarket and mid-office business partners, manage their requests and issuestimely and professionally, participate on market partner calls; workcollaboratively with other supervisors and managers in WLS and acrosslines of business
Projects – actively participate in projects within andacross WLS centers, manage scrub reports as assigned, and lead or assistin departmental/team projects
Continuous Improvement – foster an environment ofproblem solving, process simplification and root cause analysis, utilizingprocess improvement tools and best practices
Undergraduate degree is preferred, but direct job andindustry experience will be considered
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience serving in a managerial rolewithin the Financial Services industry
Knowledge of legal and collateral loan documentation,compliance, related loan applications or other related experiencepreferred
Strong client focus and ability to partner with variousinternal and external groups
Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on quality
Ability to report results in a clear, concise manner atthe appropriate level
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must enjoy working with people and have the ability tomotivate and lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong PC skills in Windows-based andMicrosoft suite applications
