Description:

The Lead IT Applications Analyst will be a member of Natural Gas sales product replacement durable team, and will be responsible for leading portions of design, build and test of application components and integrations for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 cloud based project. The successful candidate will have strong technical leadership skills and must have experience leading and directing technical teams. Should be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communications skills - with peers, customers, and management; and exercise good situational judgment as it relates to troubleshooting problems.

Must have a background in enterprise solution development and must show experience working with "Commercial Off the Shelf" integrated solutions. Successful candidate should have experience collaborating with external IT Teams including external team members like Solution Architects, Data Architects, Integration Architects, Security, and Operations. Should have the ability to create technical design documentation and the ability to work directly with Business Users and Business Analysts to develop technical designs. We are looking for a strong background in Development Operations including Deployment Planning, Testing, and Debugging of enterprise solutions. Looking for aptitude and enthusiasm to support what they build. They will be happy working to evolve and perfect solutions over time using Agile Backlog Continuous Integration techniques.

The candidate is a highly experienced and skilled in Microsoft C# Web Solution Development. Skills should include but not be limited to include ASP.NET MVC, and ASP.NET Core experience + HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS skills.

The candidate should have a strong background in Service Oriented Architecture Solution Development including skills in both SOAP and REST based services. Candidate should have background and experience working with SQL Server and Oracle centric database backends.

Knowledge and, or, experience working with ETL type data integration solutions including basic understanding of toolsets like SSIS or Informatica.

responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementing the Gas Sales product replacement project.

  • Participate in business/functional workshops to identify and capture integration requirements with Gas Supply business units.

  • Lead integration workshops to review technical designs for planned integrations.

  • Lead design, build and test of integration components within development sprint teams composed of business, application, and integration analysts.

  • Develop and maintain effective application technical support documentation including procedures.

  • Support the evaluation of operating system upgrades and changes to support tools, including testing support.

  • Work directly with vendors and IT entities to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Ensure issues are properly documented, classified and escalated as appropriate.

  • Support the analysis of business processes, information gathering, interpreting requirements, developing specifications, and implementing process workflows, including routing and approvals.

  • Participate on project teams to deliver new functionality and to support corporate initiatives.

  • Lead discussions, collaborate and interact with Enterprise Architects, IT Operations, Telecom, and various other business units.

  • Champion Human Performance practices.

  • Champion Change Management processes.

  • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements commitments.

  • Interact and provide support for end users including training.

  • Comply with all applicable IT processes and procedures, including the use of Remedy.

  • Provide reporting of activities and status to sprint lead and delivery managers, as needed.

  • Identify and escalate program issues / risks, as needed.

  • Provide periodic 24x7 on-call rotation support.

  • Experience with Java application development is an asset.
