Primary Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the identification, design, prototyping, and selection of solutions and offerings needed to support evolving business needs

  • Identify areas where solutions can be created or updated to meet existing and future business requirements

  • Aid in the development of strategies and roadmaps for Infrastructure technologies (Network, Compute, Storage, Data Protection, Client, Collaboration, and Monitoring)

  • Contribute to development and implementation of Cloud and DevOps strategies

  • Lead our architecture journey for Storage and Data Protection, working closely with peer architects, digital technology service owners, business leaders and product managers to ensure we architect for today, to redefine the future, and to bridge from today to that future

  • Create and articulate future state architecture via a narrative document, complemented by a detailed strategy, which contains all of the relevant architecture & design artifacts to enable the business strategy and deliver value our customers will recognize. Plan and sequence the journey to the proposed Future State Architecture via validated proofs-of-concepts, MVPs, etc.

  • Develop and review execution plans with respective owners of enterprise systems, regarding the evolution from current to future-state architectures. Market and build consensus as necessary to execute identified solutions.

  • Collaborate with all other Solution Architects and peers to refine and evolve solutions, processes, and practices while leveraging TOGAF and Zachman frameworks

  • Continuous "outside-in" scanning, so as to facilitate continuous learning, hands-on understanding, & adoption of Solutions Architecture industry-standard methodologies & techniques

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

7+ years in architecture and/or experience including the following:

  • Proven track record as a Solutions Architect or Technical Lead, crafting new solutions and delivering business outcomes

  • Experience with developing strategies and roadmaps

  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) architecture

  • Strong cloud-based design and/or delivery experience utilizing DevOps and CI/CD approaches

  • Strong understanding and consistent record for automation methods (both cloud-based and on-premises)

  • Strong expertise in Storage and Data Protection architecture, design, and/or delivery

  • Background with multiple Infrastructure technologies (Network, Compute, Storage, Data Protection, Client, Collaboration, and Monitoring) at the Enterprise level

  • Experience in all aspects of Architecture Design (People, Process & Technology)

Education:

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
