Aultman Health Foundation CRNA - ANESTHESIA in CANTON, Ohio
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To prescribe solutions and administer anesthetic following specified methods and procedures to ensure safe, effective standard of care.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
The Responsibilities & Expectations of the CRNA encompasses but is not limited to:
Pre and post anesthesia assessment and evaluation of the patient
Requesting laboratory/diagnostic studies
General anesthesia and adjuvant drugs
Monitored anesthesia care
Regional anesthesia techniques
Diagnostic and therapeutic nerve blocks
Other Anesthesia techniques
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation management
Invasive and noninvasive monitoring
Airway management techniques
Mechanical ventilation/oxygen therapy
Fluid, electrolyte, acid-base management
Blood, blood products, plasma expanders
Peripheral intravenous/atrial catheter placement
Central venous catheter placement
Pulmonary artery catheter placement
Acute and chronic pain therapy
Post anesthesia care/discharge
Responding to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids and drugs, and using basic and advanced cardiac life support techniques.
Holds current state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio and complies with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements concerning advanced practice registered nursing.
Graduate of a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs or its predecessor.
Holds a Master’s Degree in nursing and two years of experience in an acute care nursing setting.
Demonstrates current competency in the clinical responsibilities for which the candidate is applying.
Display an attitude of interest and respect for people.
Understand and adhere to policy and regulations.
Flexible schedule required.
Demonstrate mission and values of Aultman Hospital.
Good physical and mental health.

Department provides service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Cross training in all areas may be required and diverse duties may be assigned.
Extensive walking or standing for long periods of time is required.
Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
