We have a full-time position for a Senor US Tax Analyst in Calgary, AB.
Black Diamond Group has a unique opportunity for a Senior US Tax Analyst to join its Finance Team. Reporting to the global Tax Manager, this role is responsible for tax compliance and tax accounting for the US business unit within the organization. This role will provide the successful candidate with a great opportunity to learn and use US tax expertise within a growing, highly driven, geographically dispersed company. The role will be based in Black Diamond’s Calgary, Alberta head office.
The Ideal Candidate will 8+ years of experience in taxation, with a specialty in US tax. A US CPA designation would be a strong asset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This role will perform the following duties:
Preparation of all US indirect state and local tax filings, accurately and on time;
Oversight and preparation of personal property tax renditions, protests and payments
Preparation of all US income tax compliance ensuring timely and accurately filing (Federal and state tax returns);
Preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions for the US entities;
Provide support on US tax audits and interface with various US tax authorities;
Work with third party US tax advisors in partial support of the above mentioned duties;
Other ad-hoc research and analytics as required;
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Tax Manager.
Minimum of eight years of experience in accounting, finance and/or tax;
Although not a requirement, preference will be given to candidates who possesses a US CPA designation;
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships;
Self-starter with the ability to work independently;
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with other team members and departments;
Possesses exceptional personal and professional integrity and is a team player;
Desire to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment;
Intermediate to advanced level MS office, including Excel;
Experience in SAP Business One an asset.
