Laboratory Corporation of America Customer Service Support Rep (1st Shift) in Burlington, North Carolina

LabCorp is seeking a Customer Service Support Rep to join our Infectious Disease lab team in Burlington, NC! Assays performed in our department utilize simple assays designed to detect viral nucleic-acid to complex sequencing tests for characterizing viral genomes.

This position will have first shift hours from 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of laboratory tasks in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations in a designated technical department.

  • Pulls reports from PROC and PLUS systems.

  • Performs specimen pending lists and audits with the goal of identifying and recovering missing specimens.

  • Inquire on specimens via email and messages in PROC

  • Reports and resolves problem specimens, sort red forms, and conduct any other tasks needed to ensure the departments specimen management needs are met.

  • Performs a wide variety of administrative/clerical duties including answering calls and data entry

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service or specimen processing role

  • Previous lab and healthcare industry experience a plus

  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook

  • Data entry skills

  • Must be able to work in a team oriented and fast paced environment.
