Position Summary:

Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative ( ADNI ) Diversity Taskforce and Engagement Core at Fordham University, the Research Project Manager is responsible for general administration and management of an NIH -funded multi-disciplinary research program which is dedicated to: 1) Increasing the engagement of diverse populations in cognitive aging and dementia research; 2) Investigating ethnocultural disparities and related mechanisms in cognitive aging and dementia; and 3) Cultivating a diverse, culturally competent workforce to work with diverse populations.

Essential Functions:

Provides program administration and project management services for lab-related activities.

Provide day-to-day high-level support to the PI and leadership team, assisting in implementing robust project management processes to ensure the smooth running of the project.

Routinely monitor all activities, review issues and progress, taking necessary actions to ensure we comply with IRB -approved protocols.

Coordinates with other project managers across lab initiatives to ensure lab resources are maximized to their fullest potential.

Works with the Data Scientist to develop and monitor metrics to ensure the ongoing success of this complex project and the completion of study milestones.

Responsible for preparing and reviewing study documents for IRB renewals, modifications, annual reports, and audits.

Creates and maintains project documents (adverse events logs, et al.)

Provides regular progress reports to lab leadership.

Supervises all activities related to the study, including recruitment, data collection, data management, and research personnel training.

Assists and supervises research assistants to ensure compliance with approved study protocols.

Supervises research assistants to ensure appropriate coverage for study visits.

Supervises and assists with the development of training and educational materials.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related area

Minimum of four years experience in a laboratory, clinical research, or research-based academic environment

Demonstrated project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a multi-layered environment with a variety of reporting relationships and varying reporting responsibilities

Master’s degree in administration, health education, clinical science, or related field

Fluency or proficiency in Spanish highly desirable

Minimum Salary: $90,000

Maximum Salary: $110,000
