Industrial Pharmaceutical Sales Manager US
( Bridgewater, NJ OR Boston, MA ) The Industrial Pharmaceutical Sales Business Unit is the WorldWide Sanofi industrial organization in charge of Drug Product Contract Manufacturing to Third Party Customers. The overall mission of the business unit is to bring 3rd Party activities to production sites, where relevant to ensure long term performance and competitiveness of the sites, as well as to support Sanofi strategic portfolio re shaping projects. The Business Unit overall scope covers all geographies and all technologies represented by Sanofi Industrial network.
The Industrial Pharmaceutical Sales Manager US will be responsible for the entire US customer basis and associated Sales and Gross Margins. She / He will manage existing contracts, she/he will have the objective look for new customers, bring new activities to sites, for which she/he will fully drive the entire project from new opportunity identification to contract negotiation and signature. She/He will finally ensure full contract implementation with the concerned production site(s) and routine contract management.
*Directly responsible for sales of 20 m€, negotiation of MSA with potentially >5 m€ yearly sales, management of > 10 different customers inc. MNCs.
*Identify new contract opportunities or contribute to new contract opportunities evaluations
*Evaluate the new customer needs and sets the objectives of new deal according to IA strategy
*Coordinate industrial feasibility evaluation and define the frame of contract, in alignment with the identified future production site(s).
*Set up the appropriate project governance within Sanofi and with the customer – to cover effectively the different phases from feasibility to contract signature and operational start.
*Lead the establishment of the Manufacturing supply contract, from negotiation to contract signature.
*Ensure close follow up at start. Ensure effective transition from project to routine activity, with appropriate business reviews planning and KPIs follow up.
*Ensure regular business review with she/he customers and anticipate new customer needs to ensure long term positive partnership.
*Implement and follow up the necessary performance dashboard. Take appropriate actions in case of negative trends.
*Lead the yearly Price revision for she/he contracts.
*Manage she/he contracts in full respect of the Sanofi compliance rules, ensure financial targets are met.
*Contribute to build the appropriate tools and processes to reach operational excellence on contract management at Ph Sales and on fundamentals at site/corporate level: Quality, Supply on time on quantity, Cost to optimize profitability to Sanofi.
*Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Engineering or Business.
*A minimum of 8 years of experience working in a pharmaceutical industry
*3rd party relationship / contract management and negotiation are required
*Master Degree Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Engineering or Business Administration
*P&L management, budgeting and controlling
*Project Management skills
*Fluent French speaking is a plus
