Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT, CODE 700, INSPECTION, TEST, QUALITY ASSURANCE AND TRAINING DIVISION, CODE 720 of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will schedule, plan and direct assignments/work of subordinate personnel. You will plan, schedule and oversee Quality Assurance audits and surveillances, studies, assessments and investigations. You will be responsible for providing cost estimates (manpower and material) associated with conducting audits and surveillances. You will present audit and surveillance observations and/or findings/analysis to appropriate Lifting and Handling Department and associated Shipyard management. You will provide on-the-job auditor training and/or guidance to subordinate personnel. You will conduct or direct subordinate personnel in the initial review of action Shop/Code responses to audit and surveillance findings to assure administrative and technical accuracy of the responses. You will conduct briefings for the Lifting and Handling Department Head, or their designated representative(s), to present the results of audit and surveillance findings/analysis or results of other quality problems/concerns. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing Heavy Mobile Equipment planning to include preparing and conducting audits, surveillances and investigations to ensure procedures meet quality and certification requirements that support lifting and handling operations.
