Olympic College OLTM Leading Change - Adjunct in Bremerton, Washington

Olympic College is recruiting adjunct faculty to teach OLTM 420, Leading Change course in the Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership and Technical Management program. The class will be offered Monday evenings, Spring Quarter 2019. Essential Functions Teach OLTM-420inaccordance with college catalog, schedule of classes, course outlines, course syllabi, and any departmental guidelines. Provide quality teaching including related preparation and grading. Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the division office as requested. Maintain accurate records of students and complete forms as required. Punctual communication with students, faculty, and staff. Experience teaching online or willingness to learn needed skills. Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Organizational Leadership, Industrial Relations, Organizational Behavior, Management or a related discipline Two (2) years professional practice or academic expertise specifically related to leading large-scale organizational change, change management, strategic management, or organizational design. intermediate computer competency, MS Office preferred Preferred Qualifications College teaching experience Online teaching experience Both academic expertise and documented experience leading large-scale organizational change, change management, strategic management, or organizational design Successful experience and academic expertise in applying structured methodologies to change management activities, developing change management strategies and risk mitigation tactics, and creating actionable deliverables for execution of organizational change Practical experience in the field of change management and can apply concepts to work situations, bridging change management theory and methodologies to professional practice. Successful applicant will be able to: Utilize practical experience in team building and can teach students with work experience,bridgingteam buildingtheoryand methodologies to professional practice. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills; including building and maintaining internal/external customer satisfaction and the ability to problem solve Commit to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Demonstrate strong organizational leadership, interpersonal, and collaborative skills. Teach assigned course(s) in accordance with college catalog, schedule of classes, course outlines, course syllabi, and any department guidelines. Provide detailed class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the division office as required. Utilize teaching strategies for individual learning styles and unique learning needs of adult, multicultural, educationally disadvantaged, and at-risk learners. Prepare all classroom materials based on the approved course outlines and syllabi. Demonstrate success working with individuals and groups representing a wide range of diverse cultural, geographic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Foster a climate of respectful, open and honest discourse. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, staff and administrators as part of an educational team. Possess excellent customer service skills; including building and maintaining internal/external customer satisfaction. Demonstrate an appreciation of diversity and the benefits of a commitment to cultural awareness and sensitivity in the workplace.
