The Chemistry and Physics Department at Emmanuel College invites applications for a full-time, one year visiting position in Physical Chemistry at the Assistant Professor level to begin in the Fall of 2020. Teaching responsibilities will include physical chemistry and introductory general chemistry, and possibly an upper level elective course depending on qualifications of applicant. Faculty teach the equivalent of three courses per semester, which may include labs, and participate in departmental and college-wide service activities. The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Emmanuel College is located in the Wilkens Science Center, blocks from the Longwood Medical Area, and is equipped with excellent facilities and instrumentation. Candidates must have a PhD in chemistry and a commitment to teaching undergraduates. Postdoctoral experience and expertise in physical chemistry is preferred.
