Colleges of the Fenway Temporary Front Desk Receptionist (Part-Time) - MCPHS University in Boston, Massachusetts

The part-tme Temporary Front Desk Receptionist oversees the clinic front desk and assists the Front Desk Administrator with routine administrative support for the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene and the Esther M. Wilkins Dental Hygiene Clinic on the Worcester campus. The hours will be Monday and Wednesday from 2:30pm-9:00pm and Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00pm-5:00pm. This assignment may run through Spring, 2020. Employment will be handled through an employment agency.

Responsibilities:

Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Notify students of appointment openings, fill open appointments and actively recruit patients Ensure compliance with the FSDH office policies and procedures and make recommendations for change as needed Work with clinic coordinators, faculty and staff to support the education of students Assist the Clinic Manager with clinic operations as needed File insurance claims and bill third party payers Manage patient recall system and shared file system for radiographs Reconcile patient accounts and collect payments Prepare statements for business office, maintain cash box and make weekly deposits Produce daily and weekly reports, and other reports as requested Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception area and supply of appropriate reading material and activities for children

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Required: Post-secondary education Minimum 3 years? experience in dental office or equivalent Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills Working knowledge of the operations and administration of a dental or medical facility. Knowledge of and experience with Dental Practice Management Software Dentrix / or equivalent Proficiency with MS Office Understanding of patient care protocols, procedures, regulations and standards of care Familiarity and fiscal management principles and procedures Able to set priorities and maintain confidential information. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effectively manages multiple ongoing projects, meet deadlines and remain calm and adaptable in stressful situations. Honesty and integrity with high professional standards.

Desired: Proficiency in a second language
