The Facebook Connectivity team works with mobile operators and internet service providers to bring more people online by lowering barriers to making internet access affordable. Across a wide range of connectivity-related technology, we build technology which improves the efficiency and profitability of telecom networks in both developed and emerging markets. You will be responsible for defining products and programs which support operations of large scale networks including access networks, backhaul, and backbone/wholesale networks, with an emphasis on building tools and enterprise applications which support novel business structures and shared infrastructure. You will help envision, build, trial, and deploy the next generation of products in partnership with mobile operators to bring the next billion people online. We are looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, structured, and possesses a mix of strong product sense, business acumen, and subject matter expertise with building B2B products and/or working in the network and connectivity space. Experience with network operations, preferably with access, backhaul, and backbone network operations, OSS/BSS systems, and other enterprise systems that support mobile operators is a plus.

This position is full-time and based at our Boston office, with expected travel to our Menlo Park headquarters and Tel Aviv engineering office.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead the strategic development of a connectivity operations platform leveraged by a diverse multi-company ecosystem

  2. Drive the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products

  3. Establish shared vision across the team by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution

  4. Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers, designers, and data scientists

  5. Integrate vendor and partner market studies, usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction

  6. Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products

  7. Understand Facebook’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry

  8. Maximize efficiency and remove blockers in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of product management experience

  2. Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (i.e.: Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or similar technical work experience (e.g., product manager, software engineer, startup CEO, network engineer, etc.)

  3. Technical knowledge of access, backhaul, and backbone networks and their typical deployment architectures and challenges

  4. Experience developing network-focused platforms, management tools, or hardware products

  5. Experience leading engineering teams either as an Engineering or Product Manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Technical knowledge of OSI network model, TCP/IP, MPLS and access network technologies such as Wi-Fi and 2G/3G cellular

  2. Expertise in building B2B SaaS products

  3. Experience in network or operations at a mobile network operator or at an equipment or services supplier to mobile network operators (MNOs) or Internet Service Providers (ISPs)

  4. Exposure to CBRS or LTE networks, 3GPP (mobile protocols) for 2G, 3G, and 4G communications, Packet Core or Evolved Packet Core (EPC) technology
