Supporting the Office of the Secretary and reporting to Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff, the Executive Information and Data Communications Co-op will be responsible for wide variety of projects and tasks. The responsibilities in this position will varied based in part on the skills and interests of the applicant. A successful applicant needs to be very detail-oriented, independent, proactive, and organized. It is also critical to be able to write and communicate effectively and to be able to work constructively across the agency’s varied divisions and departments.
_Duties and Responsibilities:_
Managing and organizing public engagement and outreach materials (board presentations, speeches, etc.).
Developing new engagement and outreach materials for use by the Secretariat and agency leaders.
Establishing protocols and best practices for maintaining up-to-date engagement and outreach materials.
Supporting the use of digital services within the Secretariat, including internal project management tools and external (public-facing) platforms.
Contribute to processes designed to produce information to for the many boards, commissions and taskforces that work with MassDOT.
_Qualifications and Requirements:_
Strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work effectively within the executive office team.
Solution-oriented attitude, with excellent time management and organizational skills; strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Experience and interest in transportation.
