Kelly Services Clinical Research Coordinator (Entry-Level Bachelor's) in Boston, Massachusetts

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will assist in coordinating all aspects of a study related to diagnosis, treatment, and health outcomes. The CRC would be responsible for monitoring of pace and progress of the study. Serve as a main contact for study participants. Ensure that all components of the participants' assessments and surveys are properly completed, tracked in the computer database, and filed correctly. Correspond with the Internal Review Board (IRB) for any protocol amendments and yearly reports as needed. Correspond with various external regulatory bodies such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for yearly non-competing renewal for budget and protocol purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collects & organizes patient data

  • Maintains records and databases

  • Uses software programs to generate graphs and reports

  • Assists with recruiting patients for clinical trials

  • Obtains patient study data from medical records, physicians, etc.

  • Conducts literature searches

  • Verifies accuracy of study forms

  • Updates study forms per protocol

  • Documents patient visits and procedures

  • Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC procedures

  • Assists with interviewing study subjects

  • Administers and scores questionnaires

  • Provides basic explanation of study and in some cases obtains informed consent from subjects

  • Performs study procedures, which may include phlebotomy.

  • Assists with study regulatory submissions

  • Writes consent forms

  • Verifies subject inclusion/exclusion criteria

  • Performs administrative support duties as required

  • Assists with the preparation of presentations, manuscripts, grant applications and progress reports.

  • Assist with covering the intake link, when necessary

Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required:

  • Careful attention to details

  • Ability to follow directions

  • Good communication skills

  • Computer literacy

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player

  • Working knowledge of clinical research protocols

  • Ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects’ rights and individual needs

  • Basic knowledge of research methods and SPSS


  • Bachelor’s Degree Required


New graduates with some relevant course/project work or those without any prior research experience will be considered for the Clinical Research Coordinator I position outlined above.
