Emmanuel College School of Education seeks an outstanding candidate for a tenure-track position in Mathematics Education at the Assistant Professor level beginning in fall, 2020. Teaching load is three undergraduate and/or graduate courses per semester. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach Mathematics methods courses and other STEM-related courses.

Supervision of student teachers is also part of the teaching load in selected semesters. The individual must demonstrate a clear commitment to excellence in teaching, to culturally responsive classroom pedagogy, to the preparation of effective and resilient teachers for urban districts, to collaboration with public and parochial schools in urban areas, as well as knowledge of the Department of Elementary Secondary current Candidate Assessment Performance (CAP) process.

A Ph.D. or Ed.D. Degree is required. The area of specialization is Mathematics/STEM education. The candidate is expected to engage in education research. Teaching experience in public/parochial school is recommended.
