This role, for a Clinical Unit Leader, will work with claimants, physicians, employers and customers to ensure strict adherence in determining functional abilities. Provides recommendations regarding claimants’ current/potential functional abilities and develops goal-focused return-to-work plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determines training needs and best method for addressing them.

  • May deliver training. Directs, plans, and controls overall activities to ensure effective, efficient, and profitable operations, reviews and assesses second level rebuttals to conclusion, and participates in clinical/claims meetings when necessary.

  • Assists and compiles monthly, quarterly, and annual data and analysis and identifies trends for consideration.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 6+ yrs. related experience

  • Licensure in Nursing, Social work or Rehabilitation

Preferred:

  • Advanced clinical degree

  • 8+ yrs. related experience

  • Extensive knowledge of medical conditions, symptoms, and terminology.

  • Proficient knowledge of computer systems.

  • Advanced written/verbal communication.

  • Advanced relationship building and management.

  • Strong customer satisfaction focus.
