Microsoft Corporation Senior International Project Manager in Bellevue, Washington

The Business Application Group International Engineering (BAG IE) team is looking for an experienced and dynamic IPM to join its growing team of expert engineers contributing to making Business Applications products global in the Cloud!

As part of the centralized Customer and Partner Success business group, BAG IE supports a wide range of Business Application products such as Dynamics 365 for Finance, Operations, Retail, Marketing, Sales, Customer Care, Mixed Reality apps to name a few.

The IPM will work closely with the product & content publishing teams driving globalization and localizability solutions implementation as well as with our external localization supplier to produce world-ready localized versions of our products user interface and content into multiple languages.

This position also offers opportunity to engage and work with BAG ISVs/Partners through the Dynamics Translation Service which is developed by our team.


Core Responsibilities :

  • Partner with core and content teams to review features and content publishing systems architecture from an internationalization support perspective, contributing to design.

  • Provide ongoing localizability and globalization support and guidance to core teams’ engineers, content strategists and PMs.

  • Become an expert of assigned features and content systems.

  • Define and drive in partnership with IPE the most suitable localization process for the different product and content systems.

  • Create and drive the localization plans for assigned product and content areas.

  • Contribution to BAG IE localization engineering system through continued optimization of processes and partnership with localization architect and IPEs.

  • Support external localization supplier (define\communicate schedules, manage assigned budget, review/approve quotes and invoices, etc)

  • Triage and drive localization issues to resolution pertaining to areas of ownership.

  • Engage with worldwide ISV and partners to enhance overall localized product and content quality.



  • 5-7 years of experience working in localization project management (software and content).

  • Strong knowledge of localizability and globalization concepts and best practices.

  • Proven experience evangelizing and supporting product and content publishing teams on internationalization.

  • Experience localizing software products and content into multiple languages.

  • Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams.

  • Experience managing external localization vendors required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required and knowledge of other languages a plus.

  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of Business Application products a plus.

  • Strong technical background; a degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field preferred.

This position is Bellevue, WA.

Some international travel may be required.
