Job Summary

JOB SYNOPSIS Knowledgeable on licensing, registration, and Tier II and Tier III requirements. Work with childcare centers, childcare facilities, and family childcare homes to promote continuous quality improvement, help providers enroll in and advance through the WV Tiered Reimbursement System and to maintain the higher quality and higher rating status. Perform marketing and outreach to childcare providers and consumers on quality improvement and Environmental Rating Scales. Provide trainings that are directly related to the WV Tiered Reimbursement System, and provide on-going support, coaching and site visits to providers within our twelve-county region. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS A bachelor’s degree in early childhood, developmental psychology, or child development, at least one year of professional paid and documented experience in a management position or a leadership position in the field of early childhood. Must have valid driver’s license, clear criminal background and APS/CPS check with no charges related to child abuse and neglect, domestic violence or drug charges. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A master’s degree in early childhood, developmental psychology, educational psychology, or child development and 3-5 years of professional, paid, and documentation of working in a child care classroom. Experience with adult learning is preferred. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Be well versed in National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) accreditation standards and have experience administrating various evaluation tools, such as the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scales (ERS). Experience as an administrator of a Tier II or Tier III NAEYC/NAFCC accredited early childhood program. BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR MOUNTAINHEART COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC.
