Leidos Senior Electrical Engineer Principal Investigator in Beavercreek, Ohio

Job Description:

Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer/Principal Investigator to support work in our Beavercreek, OH location. This is a senior-level position with responsibilities including application of advanced technical skills to solve difficult radar system design and data exploitation problems, business development, and program execution.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes: a) working technical expertise over a broad range of areas including radar phenomenology, signal processing and imaging, , multi-sensor fusion, estimation theory, and automatic target recognition, b) mathematical background and analytical skills to tackle challenging problems across multiple disciplines, working alone and in collaboration with others, c) a track record in writing successful proposals to develop business and exhibit the drive to continue doing so, d) a track record in successfully managing technical teams to execute programs achieving a high degree of customer satisfaction. Finally, the successful candidate must be a self-starter and be able to successfully execute programs and solve technical problems with a minimum of management supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting ongoing development of through-wall radar and other sensor exploitation technologies

  • Providing senior-level expertise to solve difficult problems across the Leidos Multi-Sensor Exploitation and Countermeasures Division.

  • Seeking, capturing, and executing contracts in sensor data exploitation and multi-sensor fusion

Basic Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience in the field radar technology and experience with:

• Multi-static and mono-static radar design and analysis

• Ultra-wideband radar development

• Antenna design and fabrication

• Radar Signal Processing

• Automatic target recognition

• Proposal writing and successful business development

• Leading and managing technical teams

• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Desired Skills

• Through-wall radar phenomenology

• EO/MSI imaging phenomenology

• Multi-sensor fusion

• Current TS/SCI clearance
