Tremco Incorporated National Estimating Manger (Sr) in Beachwood, Ohio

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This position has overall responsibility for the Estimating Department, collaboration with the Cooperative Team, and ensuring adherence to cooperative compliance requirements. It will establish the estimating team goals while maintaining corporate gross margin goals and expectations. Provide oversight and performance management to the Estimating Department. Analyze and approve Proposals and Budgets leaving the department. Assist with estimating projects as required. This individual will work in close coordination with the Cooperative Team. This coordinated effort will focus on contract compliance and understanding all contract line-item definitions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic management of the department continually driving for improvement. Oversee the work of the estimators for consistency and compliance with department standards. Work with the Vice President of WTI, Divisional Directors, Regional Business Managers, Construction Managers, and Training Department to ensure adherence to cooperative requirements and corporate goals. Assist the Cooperative Team as needed for any cooperative bidding initiatives. Handle customer service inquiries. Establish goals and metrics for the timely delivery of proposals. Manage templates and update them as needed. Identify inefficiencies and implement changes to correct them. Maximize throughput and performance of Estimating Team based on team skill sets. Manage the overall Proposal Process within the established software management tool. Develop and implement Proposal Letter templates for use within the organization. Work cross-functionally with other Tremco and WTI external and internal departments to maximize efforts and results in sales, compliance, safety, and profitability. Develop workforce planning, recruiting, and retention strategies to maintain the optimum performance of the department. Conduct Employee reviews and maintain team feedback and growth. Facilitate a culture of teamwork and excellence amongst the region and support throughout the organization as required. Communicate and implement company policies and procedures within the department and support throughout the organization as required. Additional duties as directed by the Vice President, WTI, and President of Tremco.
