United Memorial Medical Center Supply Chain Supervisor in Batavia, New York

Unique opportunity available for a Supply Chain Supervisor at our hospital campus in Batavia, New York.

Responsibilities Include:

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, purchasing for, and distribution of the official and consignment inventories for UMMC. Supervision of Stock / Receiving Clerks and Couriers, to include but not limited to hiring, scheduling, training, discipline and conducting performance appraisals.

Rounding on UMMC departments to measure the effectiveness of the Supply Chain function and development of plans of action to improve and correct deficiencies. Cooperatively works with all UMMC and Rochester Regional Staff including physicians to insure that all staff has the proper supplies, equipment and services to preform quality patient care.Serves as a resource for inventory control, storage and distribution for UMMC and Rochester Regional if necessary.

Responsible for the development, review and revisions of Supply Chain policies within the scope of this position.Develops, maintains and implements a schedule of cycle counts for all inventories, reporting results to the Director of Supply Chain and Finance.

Responsible for annual (at a minimum) physical inventories, reporting results to the Director of Supply Chain and finance.Aware of and compliant with all Supply Chain, UMMC and applicable Rochester Regional polices and procedures. To include maintenance of all applicable records and files within the Meditech and other computer systems.

Requirements include:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, or related area preferred.

Extensive related experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar setting, healthcare preferred

  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.

  • Excellent Excel and personal management skills.

  • Above average problem solving, decision making skills

  • Adaptability and flexibility to sudden / frequent priority changes

  • Above average computer skills, adaptability to changes in operating systems

  • Detail oriented

  • Positive attitude, exhibiting a passion and desire for the healthcare industry and the achievement of quality patient care.
