UnitedHealth Group Senior Software Engineer - Java Full Stack - Bangalore, KA in Bangalore, India

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be a team player in an Agile team within a Release Team/Value Stream

  • Develop and automate business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications

  • Collectively responsible for end to end product quality

  • Participate and contribute in Sprint Ceremonies

  • Promote and develop the culture of collaboration, accountability and quality

  • Provide technical support to team. Help team in resolving technical issues

  • Closely work with Tech Lead, Onshore partners, deployment and infrastructure teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience working on multiple layer of technology

  • 1+ years of working experience in Agile team

  • 1+ years working experience of database (SQL or PL/SQL), understand concept of Big Data, NoSQL/Flat Database

  • Working experience in Web Services/API, REST Architecture etc.

  • Working experience in CI/CD pipeline (test, build, deployment and monitoring automation)

  • Working experience or good knowledge of cloud platform (e.g. OpenShift, Azure, AWS)

  • Technically hands on and excellent in Design, Coding and Testing

  • Knowledge of software configuration management and packaging

  • Knowledge of build tools such as Maven/Gradle

  • Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of OpenSource adoption and use cases

  • Good understanding of Data/Information security

  • Good in Data Structure, Algorithms and Design Patterns

  • Product/Project/Program Related Tech Stack:

  • Front End: React.js, Node.js

  • Back End: Java, Spring, Sprint Boot, REST, Hibernate

  • Middleware: Spring Batch, RabbitMQ

  • Testing: JUnit, Serenity

  • DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Redis, Sonar, Fortify

  • Others: JMeter, Groovy, NewRelic

  • Development Methodology/Engineering Practices: Agile (SCRUM/KANBAN/SAFe)

  • Engineering Practices

  • Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience in product engineering

  • Knowledge of US Healthcare domain

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team with a positive team spirit
