Occupational Health Nurse
This position provides an opportunity for the Registered Nurse to operate with a supportive nature and focus on quality care of our employees. The Employee/Occupational Health Nurse will work with a team devoted to creating the best and safest work environment for our employees. The Occ Health Nurse will provide clinical support to Nurse Practitioners and management in areas including:
Pre-placement health screenings
Clinical support of Immunizations and management of infection control issues and exposures
Pre-Evaluation for return to work after an injury or illness
Assessment for Fitness for duty, and ADA disability management
Occupational surveillance or certification
Assist with health care evaluations, treatment, and referrals.
The Occupational Health Nurse position requires three years of experience in an Occupational Medicine, Emergency Department, Outpatient or Urgent Care setting .
Educational Requirement: Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing. Associates degree or diploma in nursing with certification through the American Board of Occupational Health Nursing (ABOHN) as a certified occupational health nurse may be substituted for the Baccalaureate degree. If applicant has an Associate's degree or diploma in nursing. but is not certified through ABOHN, they must matriculate into a BSN program within the first 2 years of hire.
