The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the Universityof Maryland School of Medicine(SOM) in Baltimore is looking for a full-time Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to join itsDivision ofMidwifery The successful candidate will be joining a well-established group of 8 CNMs who provide full-scope care for our midwifery clients in several ambulatory care offices and at our affiliated hospital, the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) where our CNM team offers 24/7/365 coverage. Our team is expanding its L&D coverage to have 2 midwives available during peak volume hours,so the primary role of the successful candidate will be providing coverage in the hospital from 2pm to 10 pm. Coverage of this 7-day per week shift will be shared between 2 individuals, which will allow opportunity for successful candidate to participate in other Division activities such as coverage in the ambulatory care setting and educational activities of the Department for residents and medical students._ *Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:* * Strong commitment to care for patients from diverse backgrounds * Interest in providing resident, medical student, and midwifery education * Experience and/or interest in collaborative practice within a multi-disciplinary health team * Professionalism, effective communication and continuous practice improvement The successful candidate will be hired at the level of Instructor, Non-Tenure Track in the Department of OBGYN.
