The CMA provides assistance in the examination and treatment of the patient, under the supervision of the physician, physician's assistant, or nurse practitioner in the ambulatory setting. Duties include:
Electronic chart review before patient visit.
Assisting provider with procedures/treatments
Operation of medical equipment
Patient preparation for exam/procedure
Venipuncture
Assist with specimen collection
Cleaning and sterilization of instruments
Order/Inventory of supplies
Documentation
Assist with patient flow to assure efficiency
Medication administration ( vaccines)
High school graduation/GED required. Graduation from an accredited medical assistant training program required.
AAMA, RMA, NRCMA, NCMA or CCMA certification is required.1-2 years experience as a CMA is preferred.
AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required.
Shift:Day Shift
Hours:8:00 am-4:30 pm
