Job/Position DescriptionThe Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid and CHIP Services (MCS) division seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Senior Advisor, Financial and Data Analysis. MCS is driven by its mission to deliver quality, cost-effective services to Texans. This role makes a significant contribution to MCSand#146;s mission by increasing the divisionand#146;s capacity for data driven decisions and complex financial analysis.Reporting to the MCS Director of Financial and Data Analysis, this role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including coordinating across MCS areas and HHSC divisions to ensure MCSand#146;s interests are represented while also ensuring responsiveness to internal and external requests, including open records and legislative information requests. The Senior Advisor will play a significant role in analyzing fiscal impacts related to proposed legislation and other policy changes, including federal guidance. Additionally, the Senior Advisor will assist the Director in strengthening internal operations by developing policies and procedures related to financial and data analysis, preparing materials and analyses to inform decision-making, creating actionable information, and establishing a data strategy for MCS. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading in a fast-paced environment. Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Note this is a flexible hybrid schedule position with some in-office presence required.
