Job Overview

The Manager of Spiritual Care will provide leadership for the Spiritual Care program, team, and organization and coordinate spiritual care services with family faith leaders and home faith communities when requested. The Manager of Spiritual Care will help the department work with all faiths that are represented by patients, families, and staff members, at least minimally as a consultant or community resource link. The Manager of Spiritual Care also coordinates the Bereavement Program in collaboration with the appropriate team members.

Qualifications

Education: Master of Divinity, Pastoral Counseling, Theology, or related field. Experience: Five years' experience as a chaplain. Certification(s): Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) required, and/ or Certified Educator with the Association of Clinical Pastoral Educators (ACPE

Adult - >18yrs to 65yrs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. Leads spiritual care team members in providing direct patient/family care by conducting needs assessments, developing and implementing interventions, and monitoring the progress, cooperation, and acceptance of services. Evaluates performance of team members, providing continuous feedback and establishes performance metrics for spiritual care team members. Oversees discipline and performance issues; hires and fires team members. Identifies resource needs and develops recommendations for meeting needs. Supports the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures to meet the needs of children and families. M nages day-to-day operations and personnel in planning and facilitating efficient patient care services to ensure quality and customer satisfaction. (i.e program development, process improvement, and etc.). Participates in leadership activities for division, contributing to the achievement of goals and objectives; evaluates team performance. Provide spiritual care and counseling for hospital personnel as is appropriate and requested.
