UCHealth Clinical Data Coord in Aurora, Colorado

Summary:

Manages data for specialized programs. Maintains databases and follows up on patients to maintain a complete data repository.

Position Details:

FTE Status: Full Time

Shift: Days

FTE: 1.000000 (FTE x 80 = hours per pay period)

Responsibilities:

Facilitates the program data management process. Reviews data for completeness; follows up where necessary. Performs quality assessment of data collected.

Develops and presents reports. Participates in developing new protocols, focusing on data management.

Develops tools and processes to facilitate data collection, verification and entry.

Performs long-term patient follow up to determine status and ensure a complete database.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Responsible for data management for Immune Effector Cell (IEC) therapy and Lymphoma Program

Assist in gathering research data for IEC and lymphoma studies and assist physicians in analysis of data for presentations and publications

Participates in performance improvement activities; quality improvement and patient safety activities; assists in maintaining compliance for FACT accreditation and other internal and external regulatory standards

Will assist the Director of Lymphoma in creating and maintaining database and reports for Lymphoma and IEC programs

Will assist in IEC manufacturer audits for lymphoma

Extract and analyze data from EMR (EPIC)

Ad hoc audits for quality program

Works on team with other data managers and quality manager

Extensive work in Excel and Access database

Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

  • Requires two days/week of working from home

  • Required Licensure/Certification: None Required.

  • Minimum Experience: 2 years of data management or data abstraction experience. Preferred: 4 years data management or data abstraction experience.

  • IF APPLICABLE: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
