Job Role and Responsibilities:

The EUC Technical Marketing team is focused on 3 critical focus areas across all VMware EUC Products. Our main goals are to accelerate solution and product understanding, accelerate the technical buying decision, and accelerate license consumption. We produce enablement content for public and internal consumption for customers, partners, and VMware technical contributors.

As a Senior EUC Architect working for the EUC Technical Marketing team, you will have the ability to directly impact both the bottom line of the EUC business and influence the direction of VMware’s products. You will achieve this by contributing to technical enablement and thought leadership for VMware’s End User Computing product line and working with customer accounts gathering technical details about product deployments and best practices around product architecture, scalability, troubleshooting, implementation and operational best practices, and the development of validated Reference Architectures. You will obtain product and feature consumption feedback from customers and partners and share it with Product Management and Engineering, therefore directly contributing to future product and feature development. You will document best practices or reference implementations in deploying VMware solutions, and turn them into written and video assets for customers and partners. You will be expected to regularly appear as a speaker at VMware and industry events, such as VMworld.


  • Work independently and as a member of a team of architects on projects, usually in a technical leadership role, or in a role as senior technical advisor.Work across teams within VMware such as Product Management, Product Marketing and R&D to complete your projects.

  • Architect and develop customer solutions based on current hands-on knowledge of the VMware product line, storage, networking, management, and associated customer business processes. Specific emphasis on EUC related solutions such as: VMware Horizon, VMware Horizon Cloud, and VMware Workspace ONE, in addition to many other products from VMware’s ecosystem such as NSX and VSAN.

  • Provide architectural guidance and oversight into integration of VMware products with third party products within customers IT environment: Active Directory, Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems, desktop hardware devices, SAN/NAS storage, networking, systems management, capacity management and monitoring, high availability solutions, security infrastructures, etc.

  • Gather detailed feedback from customers and create technical assets that enable customers, partners, and Professional Services to implement the full VMware Workspace ONE solution stack

  • Create product enablement content on all EUC products in the form of slides, videos, and written documents.Deliver technical enablement to SEs, PSO, TAMs, etc. via virtual and in-person training sessions.

  • Document best practices or reference implementations in developing and deploying VMware solutions, and create assets for internal and public consumption through our EUC Technical Marketing Tech Zone () by customers and partners.

  • Build and maintain the confidence of colleagues, managers, and customers through technically accurate and quality work.


  • Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment demonstrating autonomy in conforming to strategic intent while adhering to team values at all times.

  • Must be able to work on multiple projects and prioritize and manage your workload and meet deadlines.

  • 8+ years of relevant IT experience (mobile and desktop management, storage, networking, management, monitoring, security, performance, capacity, availability, databases)

  • 5+ years experience in Enterprise Mobility Management specifically focused on one or more of the following platforms, iOS, macOS, Anrdoid, Chrome OS, Windows 10.

  • 5+ years experience in customer-facing positions such as a professional services consultant, preferably with an IT software or hands-on consulting organization

  • 5+ years experience configuring, troubleshooting, and administering IT infrastructure.

  • Experience producing business relevant presentations and technical oriented writing is mandatory. Candidates will be asked to submit samples of writing and presentations and present technical materials as part of the interview process.

  • Technical knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016.

  • Demonstrated project leadership experience.

  • Understanding of computer server architectures, including Storage Area Networking (SAN), networking topics (NSX experience desired but optional)

  • Knowledge or experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, especially public speaking and presentation skills

  • Experience creating digital videos, especially using Camtasia or similar, is a definite advantage

  • Ability to travel up to 50% or more throughout home region (and occasionally internationally). Maintaining a current and valid passport is required.

  • B.S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent technical training

  • Must be able to clearly articulate complex technical topics verbally in English. Fluency in additional languages is a definite plus.
