S/4HANA Product Management team holds the product ownership with end-to-end responsibility. One of our key tasks is to foster the focus on the right solution for the right customer. Manage roadmap adherence and map against specific customer demand requires deep product domain expertise and the right level of abstraction skills.
We are responsible for the definition and execution of our strategy, scope and the complete customer experience for SAP S/4HANA. We focus on unlocking the right capabilities of our digital core with the needed focus to scale the business.
We are looking for a Product Specialist who is going to support our S/4HANA Product Management team. You will be part of the team that will help to transform our market and accelerate our market momentum.
You will have impact and contact by bridging between our customer demand, our sales priorities and our Product definition and development units. Requirement Roll in and deep understanding to vet against our product definition and roadmaps will be an important part of your daily role.
EXPECTATION AND TASKS
The tasks and the benefits of this role will be to work on and influence SAP´s next generation Business Suite – SAP S/4HANA.
You will collaborate with our customers, Field Sales, field Services, Partner organization, Product teams and Development teams across SAP to:
Manage (Understand, analyze and categorize) customer individual demand for the S/4HANA in a regional setup assuring one face to one customer from Product Management.
Drive roll in and roll out product definition and roadmap of the S/4HANA product family with direct link to our central product definition teams.
Influence and improve the innovation lifecycle augmented by customers / partners throughout discovery / sales / onboarding / onboarding and Service / renewal process along the product’s strategic direction and within defined market segments.
Keep track of your customer engagements and customer requirements.
Help safeguard the setup of implementation projects of S/4HANA by supporting and enabling the Americas Regional teams and roles on managing customer expectations beyond existing rolling 4 quarter roadmaps.
Your impact and support of our deliverables on the strategy of our innovations will be key via:
Experience in working with clients in analyzing and transferring market and client demand directly into the Product Management/Development teams (coding, content, solution and assets).
Excellent ability to network within the different internal organizations (Development, Field, etc.), becoming a key counterpart for stakeholders in Product Management / Development organization.
Outstanding project management skills to align with the respective areas and drive projects successfully along tight deadlines.
Seamless collaboration with the S/4HANA Co-Innovation program, with a special focus on large customers.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or Business Administration (Finance, Accounting, and/or Engineering) or comparable education required. Combination of business and technical education is preferred.
Experience in customer-facing roles (e.g. consulting, solution architect, support, presales)
Experience in product definition (ideally close to a Product Owner role), alternatively: Proven track record in or on collaboration with Product Development and/or Product Management and/or Solution Management
Experience in developing and/or implementing and/or using SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite (SAP ERP) and understanding of underlying functionality, architecture & technology
Relevant 4-6 years of working experience in the SAP environment
Subject Matter Expert in a functional area, like Logistics, Manufacturing or Finance.
Strong negotiation and communication skills to achieve a balanced satisfaction between stakeholders
Ability to distill technical information fast and prepare stakeholder specific content out of it, with the business outcome in mind and customer focus; ability to simplify complex information.
Experience in driving projects in a multi-stakeholder environment and ability to leverage cross departmental networks / teams in multiple time zones.
Excellent communication and language skills in English (spoken and written)
Deep understanding of the subscription cloud economy and customer success in the digital economy.
Good knowledge of cloud principles
ERP Business Processes Knowledge
Experience in co-innovation processes would be a plus
MBA or master’s degree in related discipline is also preferred.
