Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conducts screening and diagnostic mammography exams / procedures by positioning the patient and equipment to achieve quality imaging as evidenced in the resulting image

  • Ensures quality of exams by selecting correct exposure factors, makes equipment adjustments before, after and during the exam according to nature of test, patient anatomy and other specifications of the exam

  • Ensures the images produced, stored and reported are of high diagnostic quality

  • May assist clerical staff in the maintenance of records and files

  • May schedule appointments and register patients

  • Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Validation Checklist

  • Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals / objectives

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved two - year program

  • ARRT certification with registration in radiology - mammography

  • Current state license / Texas Medical Board license

  • This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor’s diagnosis of disease

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BLS certification

  • 1 + years of current mammography experience

  • Digital mammography and 3D/Tomosynthesis mammography experience

  • 1 + years of experience in the performance of bone densitometry

  • Verbal and writing ability required to communicate effectively in informing employees of activities and policies

  • Numerical ability

  • Ability to receive, comprehend, and carry out instructions

  • Ability to work safely with equipment, supplies, and materials

  • Ability to comply with attendance requirements

  • Ability to comply with Human Resource policies
