Radiology & Lab Specialist |Richmond Street Clinic Medical Imaging | Part Time 18 Hours Weekly

Every weekend at Richmond and then 1 day during the week at New London Clinic site.

What You Will Do

As an associate with Ministry Health Care, you will have the opportunity to takes radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and positions patients for x-rays and selects exposure factors accurately.

  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity.

  • Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.

  • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

  • Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.

  • In smaller clinics, the Rad Tech may have accountabilities related to phlebotomy, patient check in and other customer service duties.

  • Ensures equipment is in proper working order.

  • Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):

  • CertifiedBLS Providercredentialed from theAmerican Heart Association (AHA)obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Radiology Techniciancredentialed from theWisconsin Radiography Examining Boardobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • RegisteredRadiologic Technologistspecializing inRadiographycredentialed from theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Diploma

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required Must complete an initial competency evaluation in Lab upon hire

Work Experience:

  • One (1) year of related experience preferred.
