The product program of the Automotive Electronics Division encompasses components (semiconductors, sensors), Electronic Control Units (e.g. for body electronics, brake control systems and engine management) and made-to-order control units. Areas of operation include: Electronic Control Units (ECUs), body electronics and ECU components, mechatronic modules for electric power steering, semiconductors, and sensors. At the Anderson, South Carolina facility, Bosch produces precision automotive components and systems sold to vehicle and powertrain manufacturers worldwide. These include systems and components for the Bosch gasoline systems (GS), automotive electronics (AE) and car multi-media (CM) divisions.

Job Description

Engineer for our Ceramic Substrate (LTCC) Group with particular focus on the postfire processes.

Procure and introduce equipment to increase cofire production capacity on a 10 million unit production process by >50% in the next 3 years.

Equipment optimization (cycle times, robustness, process improvements, cost reduction).

S/he will develop, edit, and introduce procedures and documentation including work standards, control plan, FMEA.

S/he will work within a cross functional team of engineering, operations, quality, logistics, etc.

Must be Available to make a 1 year to 18 month assignment in Germany to facilitate preparation of equipment specifications with the lead plant and CoC.

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering or related technical field; BSEE preferred

5+ years of automotive manufacturing experience.

Equipment experience (from specification through acceptance, installation, and release)

Solid troubleshooting/problem solving skills & knowledge of troubleshooting/problem solving techniques.

Knowledge of industry standard quality management system (e.g.- IATF16949)

Preferred Experience:

AdP MAP process for capital equipment procurement (from specification through acceptance, installation, and release)

Bosch quality system knowledge

LTCC (Low Temperature Cofired Ceramics) or hybrid ceramics manufacturing experience
