Live, teach, and promote workplace safety and wellness habits. Report and gather information for safety incidents. Work with team members to complete safety incident reports and investigate safety incidents. Observe techniques and methods for ergonomic impact. Set up, implement, and ensure sustainability of job rotation program. Execute and evaluate the 5S plan throughout the production shift. Mentor team members and complete 5S documentation. Initiate and lead continuous improvement of Standardized Work. Ensure consistency of applications, identify and eliminate “waste” in the process, and guide and coordinate shift-to-shift consistency. Relieve production operators as required.
Conduct daily Layered Process Audits (LPA) to ensure safe work practices, encourage standardization, reduce errors, scrap & waste, improve quality and customer satisfaction, and reinforce updated process steps. Complete daily documentation for scrapped product. Provide job instruction training to team including developing the JIT major steps and break down, training, coaching, and mentoring operators in Standardized Work. Monitor “Andon” message board. Clarify definition of problem, track problem back to the source to identify root cause, and lead actions to countermeasure the problem’s root cause. Monitor results and standardize changes. Communicate all abnormalities to areas and individuals affected. Report your production area’s readiness and current status. Take attendance at shift start and report attendance to production. Gather production record charts, quality information, and logbook for shift-to-shift communication. Control the current situation to assure standard method is utilized (Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology). Update DOS End of Line KPI boards daily. Train and develop team members’ technical skills needed for each operation. Lead communication activity by facilitating team meetings, shift start meetings, etc. Must possess the ability to work effectively with vendors, other departments, leadership, and cross-functional teams. Must be able to read work instructions and other work documents provided in English, must be able to write production and quality information in English, must understand verbal instructions provided in English, and must speak basic English.
