RN Program Coordinator - Minimally Invasive Center
Under the direction of the Medical Director and Director Project Integration Management, the Program Coordinator oversees the development and growth of a Minimally Invasive Center of Excellence. The Coordinator collaborates with Medical Directors, Leadership, surgeons, and surgical team to position the Center as the leader in all things minimally invasive in the Capital Region. The Coordinator leads all efforts to achieve and maintain accredited Center of Excellence status.
The Coordinator works with leadership to develop goals, dashboards, and strategies to drive clinical and financial performance. Strategies are collaboratively developed and implemented with Surgical and Nursing Operations to achieve desired performance across quality and financial measures. Analysis are developed/shared with ongoing cadence to support specialty and provider specific clinical, financial and variance reporting. The Coordinator imbeds evidenced based practice into efforts, establishes and advances clinical care maps for minimally invasive procedures that cross Physicians, Hospital and Offices.
The Coordinator uses time management, communication and collaboration skills to drive overall program growth and achieve financial goals. Aligns efforts with Operations. Incorporates knowledge of perioperative areas, OR scheduling, supplies and/or instruments use to program planning and strategies to achieve efficiency. Evaluates program training needs in conjunction with leadership. Supervises analyst to achieve internal and external reporting requirements.
Education Requirements: Bachelors of Science in Nursing minimum requirement. Masters Level Degree in Nursing, Health Administration or related preferred. Current licensure as Registered Professional Nurse in NYS. Current Drivers License.
Five or more years of clinical experience working within a health care setting, including 3 years peri-operative/intra-operative surgical experience. Two or more years of management level experience preferred or demonstrated leadership skills and ability to function in the clinical, administrative and financial environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint. Required for travel between facilities. Achieve Masters of Science degree within 5 years of hire.
