Position Summary: Functions as a liaison for the Department of Emergency Room Physicians representing the Chief of Emergency Medicine and the Director of Patient Care Services. Manages, coordinates, and performs departmental/administrative support for the above positions, as well as the emergency department leadership team, emergency medicine physicians, and the emergency department clinical nurse specialist. In addition this person provides programmatic/administrative support for the Detox program, express admission until, nursing supervisors through the current responsibilities of the patient care services director.

This position entails initial intake of new applicants, data entry and scanning of credentialing documents for St. Peter's Health Partners facilities, knowledge of email, creating documents, and maintaining stored data files. Would like applicant to have some credentialing knowledge and experience of identifying credentialing paper work. Will work with credentialing software system, MSO-W.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of secretarial/ office experience at the administrative level. Excellent organizational and operational management skills. Functions independently with ability to make and carry out decisions. Computer skills (Microsoft Office/Access/Kronos). Medical transcription, data entry and excellent written and verbal skills required. Ability to record and transcribe minutes.
  • This individual would need to possess excellent communication skills in interacting with the public and external agencies, be highly organized and self-directed.
  • Prior office experience in using excel and MS Word is required.

Education Requirements:

  • AAS in secretarial science or equivalent education/experience.
